Overview:
This first-of-its-kind browser-based technology connects the real world with the digital one by anchoring WebAR content to locations and enabling virtual objects to interact with the space they are in. This makes the augmented reality experience feel more personal, more meaningful and more real, and gives users new reasons to explore the world around them.
Through my initial experiments with VPS, I was tasked to create experiences that showcased the possibilities of the VPS software. I used a combination of physics simulations, cloth simulations and some real-time procedural experiences to showcase the amazing abilities of the new software. These experiences were showcased at the Niantic Lightship developer conference when VPS for the Web was first announced.
